I first saw the clear plastic film stuff on a black Lambo at the weekly Santana Row car get together. Very nicely done, and I would guess not cheap. The only down side for me was the less than good looking line where the stuff ends. I painted my car myself. I have plenty of left over paint- none of that clear plastic stuff for me! Kind of hits me like plastic over the living room furniture. At the end of the day, it's not a $250,000 car painted in a far away land by someone that has a nice glass of red with lunch. It's a Cobra built by a guy who likes beer, a few chips in the paint just add character! Would be better if those chips revealed aluminum, not fiberglass, but I'm on a budget.
