This year's car is a Unique 289, modified to replicate CSX2128 when it was painted in Coventry Motors colors and driven by Allen Grant. Fun trivia fact about the car: the paint on the original car was designed and applied by Allen's crew chief at the time, George Lucas.
In order to replicate the original, Unique (
Unique Motorcars) started with their 289 FIA kit, removed the chin
oil cooler opening, added standard doors (not cut-back FIA doors), and melded in slab side style front fenders. The engine will be a Patriot Perfomance 347 stroker, graciously DONATED by Patriot Performance (
https://www.patriot-performance.com/)! Transmission will be a Tremec 5-speed. Wheels will be Trigo Kidney Bean knock-offs.
