Interesting Thread..

Why can I predict where this is heading. Guns drawn at midday..

Interestingly, I watched/viewed a similar Thread on the Porsche site where an original owner of a 356 Speedster was asked if he thought copies (their term for replica cars) of original cars in anyway devalued or increased the value of his original car.

He simply said that original speedsters with history were just that - original. Adding that some of the so called copies had far better handling and internal comforts than his car. Stereos, carpet, padded seating, interior door trims, carpet in trunks and extra gauges to name a few observations he made. Observations not criticism..

But reading the Thread left me in no doubt that he enjoyed his 356 Speedster for what it was - an original car that was hard to start, leaked oil, was due for an engine rebuild and excited him every time he climbed in it to recreate some of it's history all over again.

And his observation was that his neighbor in his Beck Speedster had a far better finished and drivable car than his would ever be.

My Mums Mona Lisa in the pool room is getting more valuable every minute..

Just my dollars worth ($0.02)

Hey guys by the way with our dollar at $1.04 US at the moment you had better all watch out...
