The Pond block uses either Robert's specific bearing set or it can use the 1268M F-M set for the Genesis blocks. The 1268M is a bit narrower and will not require distributor clearance trimming. Both use the same OD all the way through the block.
And yes - we've seen a couple cam bearings walk in aluminum blocks - you need to AT LEAST use red Loctite, better is a dowel pin or small fastener in front of & behind the cam bearings to keep them in place.
