I think having the two open side "windows" to give prominence to the header pipes is a terrific feature. I'd often thought removing the louvres in the standard opening would look OK if the pipes were heat treated in a light colour, but your effect is sensational, and it's now obvious to me that the second opening is essential. Of course you now can't have heat wrapping on your pipes and you have to ensure that they're always nice and clean. Also I wonder if our over-enthusiastic law enforcement people would see this modification as another reason to be nasty, on the grounds that the pipes may be considered to be too exposed. Ah what the hell! It looks great.
