Default It's not the rim but the tire size

Silversmith Smithy a 245 or 255 15" tire is about all you can run and not hit the body of the car on turns with stock suspension setup. 295 50's in the rearend on 15" rims. Not sure what number car chassic you have but on the older cars, Mine was 428 the body got a small fiberglass insert to fit 335/35 17" wheels and not hit the body of frame. Fronts are 255/40 17" Handling is crazy with 17". You have more fun with 15" and sliding the car. What rubber are you looking at?? Avon tires are about the best for 15" wheels and street usage. The Billboards look the best on a cobra but have problems of flat spots and balance if the car sits too long. Rick L.
