I'm now waiting
About 10 days ago, I was told by the SOS police office in Springfield that all the info was now good. Paper work was sent to the regular SOS office and I would be contacted. So far no contact.
The tax issue as I was told. If the tax total of out of state purchases is in excess of $600, it is to be paid within 30 days of the dated purchase. this might be a recent ruling but I am not sure.
My first written appeal to the Department of revenue has been denied. All steps of my registration has been on direction of the SOS. The Lombard SOS office told me to get the car running before applying. 3 weeks later on I was sent to the SOS Springfield office. They sent me the required forms which I sent back within 1 week. They told me to sent all forms including the ST44 tax form back to them. This ended up being 44 days from delivery of the car. I am hoping to hear something in the next week from the SOS if not I guess I will start making more phone calls.
I'll post if any new news.
