The Holley 830 annular was a great carb in its day, and still is, BUT there a way better carbs out there now.

Being an early carb made of porous zinc alloy, they are plagued with issues brought on from porosity.

The billet carbs, (QFT, Proform, Demon, etc) don't suffer from this, have many more adjustable features, can be tuned up AND down.

The early Holleys don't have 3 or 5 stage emulsion bleeds that you can tune etc.

My choice has been QFT (Quick Fuel Technology) and I will stick with them.
