Buzz, agree. I believe it's all about making good decisions. If the bad guy is threatening you or another with death or serious bodily harm, without justification, let him have it. If it's anything else, such as a bad guy who is running away and posing no immediate threat to anyone, if you shoot, even though the world may be better off for the elimination of the SOB, you may face criminal and civil liability (grand jury indictment, suit for damages). The guy in this news clip did OK with the warning shot, which caused the bad guy to surrender, and all ended well. If he shot the bad guy, and the bad guy was not posing a threat to the 89 year old neighbor or anyone else, our hero might have had some serious problems. All that said, I like the over the top style of this guy running around this very posh Houston neighborhood in his boxer shorts taking charge with his 50 caliber cannon.
