Lottery ticket.
Get as many shavings out as you can throught the distributor hole and
oil pan drain plug opening.
Borrow a borescope if you can to carefully inspect the cam gear or small dental mirror and flashlight - my eyes ain't good enough to see well looking down that opening....

Steel cams are pretty tough - you have a good chance...
