I suspect that some of those "Shelby" numbers were mistaken. The only cars that might run a very small amount of (street) toe-out are FWD.

If you need more straight-line stability, increase the toe-in to as much as 1/8", and later increase your caster. If you change your caster more than a couple of degrees, check the bump steer.
