We will be doing a bit of driving around the narrow roads of Ireland so we will be looking at a Golf or similar. One thing I noticed in the quotes is the sat navs add about 160 GBPs for our five week hire. Being an old fart without an iPhone I am now planning on purchasing a sat nav from a Dick Smith's-type outlet for around $80 (55GBP) when we arrive. Any thoughts on this approach?
