Kramer, I think what Bob is referring to is torqing down the axle nut to 20 ft/lbs and then loosening the nut back off, and then re-torqing it back down to 15 inch/lbs (yes, that's INCH/LBS) then if you can get a cotter pin in, do so and quit. If not, then tighten just enough to get the pin in and then quit.
If that's not what he's referring to then I'll just politely STFU.
