Some old flathead V8 Fords had steel liners and cast iron rings.
Some were the opposite with iron liners and steel rings.
Some had no liners.

My dad is in a Nursing Home, but the family owned the Ford dealership here from 1929 -1967. He would know whether it was a 21 or 24 stud V8.

Do you think steel sleeves would work on FE engines with cast iron rings?
