Cobra 53,

I just called Comp Cams the tech finally found it by its specs and said it is SOLID ROLLER.

(guessed it may be hard for you to call the 800 number from Spain...)

On oil, he said you do NOT have to have ZDDP in the oil.

A lot of folks would suggest it can't hurt to have ZDDP in the oil, like from Brad Penn, Joe Gibbs and others.

The ZDDP was removed for modern cars as it has the potential to foul the catalysts in the smog system.

The machinist I am working with on my new engine builds racing engines all week long, sprint cars, track cars, baja racers and says they use Brad Penn pretty exclusively and most of there builds are rollerized.

My new engine is hydraulic roller, roller rockers, etc. but the machinist said please use "Brad Penn break-in oil" 30wt and then the normal Brad Penn 10-30 or 40 afterwards.

Be sure to read ALL the threads on how to keep a SOLID ROLLER alive...mainly it seems be avoiding idling as the "splash lubrication" is NOT adequate...and the clearances DO have to be adjusted periodically.

Bet you will get lots of tips on how to take care of the solid roller!

Have fun,

Pete
