Guys, maybe I'm just simple minded, but wouldn't the need to "re-calibrate" the dipstick depend on the pickup being used?

If the Canton pan required a change of pickup, then I can see how adding 9 quarts and marking the level might be right, but if the standard pickup were used with the Canton pan, would the original mark on the dipstick not be correct?

I ask b/c at some point I hope to replace the "double-sump" Fox body oil pan on my replica with a similar pan....don't most pans come complete with their own recommended pickup tube?

Cheers!

Dugly
