To make the inlets from sheet metal we would need to make a form. (Of course, we would do that on a CNC). Then we would have to form the metal over the form and weld it all together--by hand. Forming the sheet metal would take quite a bit of time, not the mention skill. We indeed have the skill, we don't have the time. In the end, why not just billet the parts if you are going to billet a form anyway? So, that is what we did. There is the added benefit of everything come out exactly in the shape you want them when they are made from billet on a CNC. It really is what we specialize in.
