Wedge was a common term back in the 60's and 70's. I think you will find the 427 and 428 engine worthy opponents to most comprable GM engines. There are just a few little tricks a good Ford machinist knows. George Anderson has a very good machinist in his shop that could answer most of your questions, and he is close to you. Also, Brent Lykins B2 Motorsports, or Keith Craft, or my guy here in Tulsa Stanley Morton, and probably one of the best is in Greenville, Illinois; Lumpy at Performance Motorsports.
