Well, the pan is off along with the
oil pump.
The pump has M84 cast into it, and either 211 or 214 cast in another spot, can't tell for sure which number it is.
The pump screen is clear, no cracks in the tube, and everything looks brand new as far up as you can see in the engine.
The vanes in the pump look new also.
I just don't think the pump is bad, But????
Last night I started the car again before I got it jacked up and the
oil pressure cold was at 70 lbs, just like always.
Did see a drop of
oil where the brass fitting screws into the remote casting that fits on the block. I took both fittings out and resealed them.
Thanks for all the help/suggestions so far.
I guess the nesxt thing is a new pump and Motorcraft filter.
