Personally,I think you've found your problem right here!!!!!! Fram filter was good, you changed to a NAPA filter and had problems, seems to me you could have a bad filter.....cheapest,easiest thing to do is change the filter first then go from there.....

On the high volume pumps, not needed just becasue you have a remote filter,as stated any pump can only pump a certain amount of oil thru the engine/bearings which has a direct correlation on your bearing clearances...
In my race car (331 stroker), I have an 8 quart road race pan, remote filter with huge 12AN lines and an oil cooler, total capacity is 11.5 quarts of oil....on the dyno with only an oil filter screwed in the block my max oil pressure was just a tad less than 70 psi at 6500 rpms......in the car with everything hooked up at 6500 rpms on the track oil pressure is a tad over 60 psi......
I'm using a Melling HP series standard volume/standard pressure pump!!!!!
At start-up, oil pressure instantly goes to 60 psi with cold oil, oil fully warmed up at 180 degrees and a 900 rpm idle yields about 35 psi, from 2000 rpms on up,oil pressure is 50 to 60 psi....

Before pulling your pan, I would have changed the oil filter to eliminate that as the problem.......
