I started doing home PC about 10 years ago. I bought a rebuilt oven for $50, and installed the plug in the garage. You are limited by the size of the oven. But a standard kitchen oven is big enough for most car parts - wheels, bellhousing, etc. Big parts like read ends and blocks would have to be sent out. But that's rare.

To do your own stuff saves you a lot of money and time. From start to installation is about an hour. If I go out on a week end to build some little bracket or component, I can then PC and install it the same day. There's a lot to be said for that.
