Just a couple weeks short of the three-year point in my build, I finally started engine for the first time yesterday. Since it was running pretty well, I decided to take it for its first go-kart run, too.
This is the first engine I've ever built. It started out as a '94 SVT block and head castings to which all new parts were added. It's now a 347 with forged internals (10.5:1), internally balanced (all counter-weight removed from the flywheel and damper), fed by a Holley 650 DP. Trans is an SVT T5 and it has the FFR three-link rear with 3.27 gears.
