The Coyote is Ford's modular motor with added variable valve timing, which is a fair departure from Ford's original 289 and 427 engines. You're keeping the badge but in terms of engineering I would argue a modern single cam LS motor is closer by design. Except maybe the firing order - and the sound that goes with it.

Are you looking to build an almost exact replica or will you personalise the car to your own taste?
