Default Paint ceramic coating to freshen it up?
My car has silver colored ceramic coated headers and sidepipes. The side pipes are starting to show some wear after 8,000 miles and 4 years.

I am considering changing the color to semi gloss black. Is it better to send them out for a complete ceramic recoat or rough up and paint VHT or some other paint over the existing ceramic?

Have any of you painted over the ceramic and does it stick for a long period of time?

Does black coating or paint stain easy? That is a concern. The silver cleans up nicely.
