Tom, I received the photos you sent. Yep, it sure looks like it's the same car although it appears to have been cleaned up a bit since then (i.e., they've removed the window stickers, sponsor decals and pit stripes, etc.).
I have some other photos of the car at home. It now sports a
Grand Prix Classics banner on the tail, which is probably the dealer (in La Jolla CA) who was representing it at Carmel.
The info sheet for GT40 P/1083 said the car had originally been sold directly by the factory to Team CAI and Fittipaldi Racing in Brazil; had been constructed to the same spec as P/1075 with the lightweight roof, a 302 with Gurney heads and Weber carbs, ZF transaxle and BRM wheels; had been driven by David Hobbs, Carlos Pace and Wilson Fittipaldi.
