NASCAR uses corn because their gas doesn't sit in the car for more than an hour and therefor doesn't have time to absorb moisture from the air. In my boat, I mistakenly used some gas that was suposed to be ethanol free (all marine gas is ethanol free because the government was aware that it absorbs moisture from surrounding air like crazy) I left 30 gallons in my tank for 6 months (added stabil) and when I checked my gas/water filter I had over 4 oz of water in the tank (by the way,my boat was not even near water, but in my back yard, covered). Not to mention that it eats gaskets like crazy. It's one of the bigest scams perpetrated on the public by mid-west political interest groups.
