Spencer's comments reinforce my growing belief that the fundamental problem with leaky aluminum master cylinders is that aluminum will wear very quickly if the piston does not go in and out just right. I've already ordered a replacement Tilton aluminum master cylinder, but if it wears out prematurely, my next m/c will either have a sleeve or be of something harder than aluminum.
