I prefer the un-polished look, too. However, years ago I was into the high level of "bling" factor and spent many hours polishing my SS knock-offs.
Last year I decided to go with the natural look. I had access to a friend's blasting machine and used glass beads to eliminate the bling. The glass beading takes about 30 seconds per knock-off.
