I run a 3.70 9" independent rear. 4-speed wide ratio transmission. 22# aluminum flywheel. Solid roller cam and other stuff. Goodyear Billboard tires.
My daily driver is a Toyota Yaris. 106 hp. I try to keep the engine speed below 3000 rpm. Gets 42 mpg. What a boring drive!

Engine plays a big role in this for sure. I would say the 466 stroker w/700HP+ and 680 ft/p torque
@ 1400 makes the 3.08 a
sweet spot selection for that motor. SBs with less cubes build their power higher up in the RPM range, and rev higher as a rule (vs stroked BBs) so your gearing should take that into consideration, all imho.
