Sound is funny. It has to just "sound right." It doesn't matter whether the db meter is right, wrong, or the pipes are loud or quiet. I've seen SB Cobras that were quieter than a Camry. Personally, I find that more offensive than a big block with zoomies coming at 'cha.
Although, I really wouldn't want the noise of straight pipes either....
