I'd like to add a couple of comments on this thread:

1) Do you realize that an original 427 Cobra's distributor cap was tan in color, not black? I don't like the MSD red either, but I just thought I'd point this out. If you do a search, there's a thread here somewhere discussing this same issue where a poster suggests a source for a tan cap. If I remember correctly, it's an Accel brand replacement cap.

2) If you decide to relocate your seat mounts in the floor, be sure that they are firmly anchored to tabs welded to the frame. Drilling four new holes in the floor is not structurally sound enough to withstand an accident if your floor is aluminum or fiberglass.
