The track is an 1/8 mile track and they didn't VHT it very well. I had billboards on mine and didn't do a burnout and left easy and ran an 8.0 at 91 mph. My car has a 392 Ford Krate motor with alumnium heads and a X cam. I fried the tires on the rest of the runs. My best time is 7.62 at 92 mph at our other local track on street tires ( Billboards). I'm not sure about what the other guys ran. The black Cobra had a traction problem also. He brought a set of slicks but they are not any good any more for the dragstrip. I think they are about 5 years old and got them from a friend for nothing. They are fine for when we do the SCCA events. He is running a 427 Stroker that is very strong. We had a great time. The track is neat. It was built in the 60's and it still looks the same as when it was built. The guy that built the strip in 1961 still ran it up til last year when he passed away. His kids run it now. I have a poster flyer from 1965 that tells about Richard Petty coming to Paradise to do a match race in his 65 Hemi Barracuda.
