Default Occasional Coolant Drip - need advise

Hey Gang

Need your thoughts on a very occasional and minor coolant drip (but it drives me nuts).

Have a Roush 427sr in my Daytona Coupe. About 4,500 miles on it.

On occasion I will get an antifreeze drip. It appears to only do it after the car has sat for many weeks (like 4 or more) or over the winter and it will drip a little after starting. Drops. Not a puddle. Not continuous.

When I am regularly driving the car (every week or two) it is dry as a bone.

I have checked and tightened all connections.

The drip appears on the bottom of the harmonic balancer. So where ever it starts it finds its way to the balancer and then onto the drip pan.

No issues with overheating, steaming, etc.

My guess given, the scenario, is that the water pump from sitting develops a flat spot where fluid can drip out and once warmed up and driven routinely it properly seals.

Would this make sense?

Thanks!

Jeff
