Requirements may change from track to track but some are pretty standard and also it may depend if you are going to race seriously or just go for open track days. A couple of things that are pretty standard are a 3 point roll bar at least, out here they are trying to change it to a 4 point one. Most tech inspections will check the tires, brakes and other safety items such as anti spill gas filler. If you can find out who runs the track your best bet is to contact them and ask what they require. Probably fire retardant clothing and definitely a helmet too.
