I'm looking to acquire a 427 Side Oiler engine that I looked at today. Any information is appreciated. The engine has the following:
66-427 in rear with a scribed V
Date code is 2F20 - June 20, 1972?
352 in front of block
Ribs on both sides
No other casting numbers I can see
Has intake so cannot determine if it has 66-427 in lifter valley
Seller doesn't belive it has the
oil provisions for hydraulic cam
Seller also states its a higher nickel block
Also that its a NASCAR Block (Can a NASCAR block have a 72 casting date and ribs?)
Has 4 holes for motor mounts I believe
