Had mine for over 20 years and still get lots of positive reactions - even the beggars at most robots (Traffic lights to you Americans) and stop streets on main roads in South Africa forget to beg and comment positively
If the light is slow to change they want to know all about it and ask one to put foot when it changes, this I am happy to do if traffic allows
