no raised nicks or edges, i think it is where the piston ring was located when it sat previous to the teardown and machine work. it is .030 over now, i don't think .040 would have cleaned it up. carl at cnc said he has done a few with no problems, so i guess i'll go with it. keith craft said it was ok also, course his money. just real frustrating trying to do a meticulous build and this happens.
