I'm preparing for my annual trip to Huntington Beach and my Nitto 555 Drag Radials probably need to be replaced after 17,000+ miles. I don't see any nylon or steel belts showing (my typical visual when I decide to replace tires) but I am at the wear-bars which are beginning to wear off as well so looking at Tire Rack, I see very limited manufacturers for "Summer Only" type tires.

The choices based on Tire Rack, is:

Kumho Escta XS Extreme Summer Performance
Goodyear F1 GS-D3 Max. Performance
Sumitomo HTR-Z Ultra High-Performance Summer

I'm thinking of the Goodyear F1's because the tread depth is fairly good ( 10/32" ), and generally is touted as a good performance tire. Any other suggestions? Anyone local I could buy and mount them on my rims? (I would bring the wheels in myself since the FFR is o blocks at the moment.)
