When I lived in England ( Liverpool).... Anyone referred to as "a bit ginger", meant he was Ginger beer/ Queer......
You had me wondering why you would have a chat with your " Ginger Beer" and see what he prefers.....
I see it can ALSO mean engineer....
At least I'm guessing that's who you'll be checking with....
