We have been using acetone. Nasty business, but works well. I use an aluminum mag cleaner after that with scotch brite. Cleans up very nicely with a satin finish. Can easily be polished (but for time) - I like the brushed look.

We had 98% of the glue gone in about an hour. Have not tried to get the glue off of the doors yet - the aluminum was a no brainer just elbow.
