Yes I think many of us who are Baby Boomers thought she was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Sitting in front of the B/W TV cross legged with the Mouse Ears on after school, what an innoccent time it was. She didn't succomb to the trashy pats she was offered as movies changed their themes. How things have changed for our children and grandchildren, pretty scary in some regards. Now, except for the animated cartoon type movies aimed at the youngest movie goers, if they don't have murder or gore, or a sadistic plot no one goes?
I knew she was ill and had remained out of the spotlight for many years, inevitable outcome unfortunately. RIP
