Paul,
Back in about 2001 I put the first set of GY BB's on my car. The wandering and darting sometimes made Peggy and I look like a couple of bobble heads.

I was kinda embarrassed by the handling when she was with me.
In the beginning I started with tire pressure in the 22-24 pound range on the street. After a few months I experimented with gradually raising the pressure until I found my comfort point. For street driving I have them at 32 psi front, 30 psi rear. What a difference in handling! I didn't see any irregular tread wear in about 5,000 miles.
I am on my second set of GY BB's. By year 5 of ownership of the first set, there was very obvious sidewall cracking, and people were finger pointing. The tread depth was still very good, but I had to toss them because of the sidewall issue.
This second set isn't a year old yet and the first signs of the cracking are just barely becoming noticeable. When its time to toss these, I'll buy the Avons.
