My wife and I drive our collector cars, so I need to wash with water sometimes. A de-ionizing filter costs a few hundred dollars and is worth every penny for avoiding water spots. Griots has one, mine came from Costco.com. Particularly in the engine compartment and wire wheels. Three of our cars have chrome wire wheels, I use a rechargeable leaf blower to dry them. I spent a lot of time in the past with towels and banged up knuckles, until I saw some advice about using a blower. Dave
