I have found AN fittings between brands can use different size wrenches when fitting hose. The AN size though should fit the coupling nut, I would guess some better than others. IMO the only benefit to AN wrenches are the different angles that can be used if the wrench is designed in that fashion, otherwise a good quality wrench should work fine and not scratch the finish.
