When I shipped mine to Nick (Mickmate), as you can see I removed the bladder, then took the tank to the local carwash and gave it a good bath inside and out.
Then I used a packing / shipping company to carefully package it ($120) and ship it from SoCal to Nick in NH. Shipping ran about $230 each way, so that added another $460.
After all that and paying Nick for his fine work, I still came out ahead based on what I was facing going the Fuel Safe route.
