I've writtin to TCI. Yes I would like to do it properly, but no-one does a controller for a BTR trans. They write back asking what the hell is it?
That forum made it sound simple, just switching solenoids, but's it's more then that with pressures, phasing gears in and out. I have a VT with auto, and if I don't drive it for 2 weeks, it thumps into gear, and starts of in 3rd. I have to disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and it's ok again. All this electronic stuff is great when it works, but having worked for the RAA road service for many years, I have seen so much of it fail, whether it's new or old. I don't trust any of it.
