being a near 10 year old car.. I can handle looking at the maintenance items, Tires/brakes..lines...
Just wanting to know what updates/upgrades that have been amended since the early builds.

The steering is the same as current chassis specs as are the rest of suspension parts. The rear shock mount inspection is needed if the upgrade has not been done. The shocks on a 1400 series car should be the Bilsteins are are fine for general use. Look at the date codes on the tires, anything older than six years should be replaced. I would do a full service, flush the brake and clutch systems with new DOT 4 fluid, change the diff
oil, etc. so you know what you are working with.
The major changes since 1400 are the ZF differential and some wiring changes. The car will be 90% the same as a new build.
