Rob, Tap a hose fitting into one of the
oil gallery plugs on the side of the motor (or anywhere else in your
oil system).
Then use a garden weed sprayer filled with a couple of litres of
oil to pressurize the oil system.
Serves as a good way to pre-oil an engine that's been sitting for a while and allows you as much time as you need to check out things like gauges etc.
