Garry, I understand completely. All of those points are "fixable" without heroic efforts. Coated "quiet type" pipes, a smaller carb for better manners (you're probably running rich if it's burning your eyes), a lighter clutch, and that car might be just perfect. Think about doing all of that first; you'll save money and you'll be happier.
