Those guys are clearly knuckle heads when it comes to these cars. Agreed that there should have been clarification that this was an authentic " continuation " cobra so as not to confuse it with an original.
That schmuck got taken like Grant took Richmond. The initial car is clearly an aluminum continuation cobra. It's a body and chassis. Back in 2010 I think rolling chassis were $125k. Clearly market on that body and chassis would reasonably be at least $100k to $110k. All that separated it from a roller was wiring, plumbing, gauges, carpeting,wheels and tires, springs, fuel pumps and some trim items. He gave it away for $30k. What a dope.
I think the fix was in. The expert puts a value at $60 k. Pawn guys negotiates with rube who sells for $30 k. Pawn guys flip to Shelby dealer for finished glass car at near even swap.
Poor dumb bastard.
